Activity Overview
This is where our strength shines through and we tailor the tour to suit your tastes and interests, marrying them to our knowledge-base and networks.
It’s not about Cork Dork combat unless you really want to make it that, then we’re up for it, but we prefer more hedonistic pursuits. If we don’t chat in advance about your preferred wines or if you’re new to the wines of the Cape, we can quickly work out your preferences at the first tasting and guide you accordingly from there on one of our tailor-made tours.

Then we can layer that with other themes like Gourmand, Grande Dames, the Garagistes, the bohemian, the high-tech, the biodynamic, the ethical, architectural or those housing international art collections. But there will always be wine at hand, and beautiful vistas.

Or go geekier and take a cellar tour, gaining insight into what really goes on behind those cellar doors. Green-fingered people can take an instructive walk into a vineyard on request. If you have ever wondered if your palate could be your superpower you can take a simple supertaster test – followed swiftly by some more wine.

All this is sure to wet your appetite, luckily eight out of Eat Out magazine’s Top 10 restaurants are either in Cape Town (4) or the Winelands (4) including a couple listed in San Pellegrino’s Top restaurants of the world, or you can embark on a delicious food and wine pairing journey with local or international flavours and wines (these costs for own account) to render all the senses sated.

Perfectly tailored wine tour with nicest wine expert in Capetown
I feel particularly compelled to write this review and to reiterate our thanks to Jonathan for the fantastic day my boyfriend and I spent with him. Jonathan is not only a proper wine expert but also genuinely kind, amicable and pleasant person to speak to about wine and pretty much any other topic. We had such a great time that we already recommended Jonathan to three of family friends ;)

Don't have the whole day to spend tasting wine in Stellenbosch, Paarl & Franschhoek, this is the tour for you! Pick up at preferred location or hotel and drive through the Durbanville ... moreHills Wine Valley,
nestled in the Tygerberg Hills, a mere 20 minutes drive from Cape Town. With its hectares of flourishing vineyards, award winning wines and hospitable atmosphere, this wine valley is fast becoming the Cape’s destination of choice.
Situated on the cool slopes of the Dorstberg, with Table Mountain as backdrop, Diemersdal Wine Estate provides the perfect setting for the production of unique, soulful wines where you will experience your wine tasting followed by a lunch with flavours of the countryside and the relaxing farm ambiance in an old stable, restored with care by the Louw family, where they’ve been making wine for six generations.
Here locally grown and regionally sourced produce inspire Chef Martin De Kock to blend his classical French training with the flavours of Provencal France, Spain and a touch of Asia. The herbs and some of the vegetables are from the kitchen garden, the preserves and pickles home-made and the bread freshly baked.
Drive back to preferred location for drop-off.

This tour can either start at 9am until 2pm (after lunch) or alternatively from 12pm to 5pm.

Explore sustainability with our enlightening Green Tour The Cape is a Mecca for anyone who has a taste for environmentally sustainable and ethically produced wine and boasts some of ... morethe world’s leading organic and biodynamic producers like Reyneke and Waterkloof.

The Cape is a world pioneer in IPW – Integrated Production of Wine – a compulsory standard aimed at reducing reliance on herbicides and pesticides, keeping wine production as natural as possible. Our Green Tour will allow guests to explore and discover some of the most sustainable wine farms in South Africa.

This has been supplemented by the Biodiversity and Wine Initiative (BWI) which has received recognition for the South African wine industry as leaders of global wine in demonstrating the balance between nature and farming by driving conservation-minded farming practices.

Meanwhile, South Africa is the largest producer of Fairtrade wine globally, with 24 producer organizations, and accounts for around two- thirds of Fairtrade wine sales.

This tour focuses on environmentally friendly activities, conservation, and sustainable farming practices. It is for those who have a preference for the natural, the twitches, the flora & fauna fanatics, organic and biodynamic enthusiasts, or those want to experience something different, energizing and inspiring.

The Cape boasts a growing number of organic and biodynamic wineries who have shown that quality and alternative farming practices are not mutually exclusive and can improve quality and complexity.

Winemaker-led, focussing on organic and biodynamic producers and their differences.
