Day 1
Your tour kicks off at the Avignon TGV station where you will be collected at around 2 pm in an air-conditioned luxury minivan. This unique tour will take you to Chateauneuf-du-Pape where you’ll enjoy your first tasting experience. While in this region, you’ll be debriefed on the historical anecdotes about how the Popes in the 14th century advanced the recognition of winemaking tradition in the area.

You’ll have free time to explore the beautiful village of Chateauneuf-du-Pape at your leisure, and then be chauffeured to your stylish B&B located in the countryside of High Provence. This countryside region is set around the foothill of the Mont Ventoux, which is renowned for its authentic villages, fruit trees, wine, truffles, and cycling.

You’ll get the chance to enjoy a peaceful early evening stroll amidst the vines followed by a gourmet dinner and a champagne cocktail at the adjacent village. You may choose to spend 2 nights lodging at the B&B Le Madelene.

Day 2
Tour Vaison-la-Romaine for a chance to discover and explore one of the finest markets in Provence. You may opt to roam on your own or accompany your guide who will select the finest picnic products for your vineyard picnic.

Once you have filled your picnic basket and you are done with your market shopping, we will take a short drive to a vineyard with a scenic vista of the valley below. This vineyard is family-run and is located in the AOC Séguret (named after the neighboring village). Here you’ll be greeted with a tasting of their white, red and rosé wines followed by a relaxing place for your unforgettable Provencal picnic experience.

You’ll bask in this paradise and then get a chance to discover Seguret, the first village on the tour which is rated as one of the most charming villages in France. You’ll learn about the historical anecdotes of this beautiful village that used to be a safe place during troubled times. You’ll also discover the stunning picture postcard shots that you can get with your camera! This experience will leave you feeling utterly enchanted.

You may choose to enjoy your time at the B&B in the early evening while relaxing by the pool or in the serenity of the vineyards prior to our dinner outing at a local eatery renowned for its Provencal antique décor and fine cuisine.

Day 3
You’ll enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the patio, and then depart from the High Provence region and proceed to the Mountains of Vaucluse and the Luberon.

On the way, you will come across one of the Renaissance castles in Provence, in Le Barroux, as well as Venesque, another village recognized as one of the most enchanting villages in France. To get a good experience of these charming villages, you require a leisurely exploration, therefore, we’ll have lunch next to a Mascaron Fountain which offers the perfect resting spot.

While in Gordes, you’ll enjoy a guided tour which will enable you to discover all the time periods and important people behind the transformation of this falling down village into one of the most famous villages in the Luberon, and in Provence at large.

You will then have free time to visit the boutique shop and maybe sample a glass of rosé or some ice-cream cone.

Gordes is just the start of the beauty of the day as you’ll discover when you arrive at your 4-star hotel in the heart of L’Isle sur la Sorgue, the tiny Venice of Provence renowned for its antique villages and canal-lined streets. The charm of the town and hotel will surely amaze you as you explore at your own leisure during your free time.

Afterward, you’ll enjoy a gastronomic bistro dinner in the town center. You may choose to spend 3 nights lodging at the Grand Hotel Henri.

Day 4
Imagine cruising through the charming vineyard-lined country roads and villages in Provence in a revamped Citroen 2CV! Along the way, you’ll get numerous opportunities to take pictures of the picturesque scenery and also get a chance to tour the villages by foot.

Your guide will drive you to the uniquely charming villages of Bonnieux, Goult, Joucas, Lacoste, and Roussillon in your 2CV!

Once you return in L’Isle sur la Sorgue, you will explore the antique shops and get a chance to sip rosé next to the striking Sorgue river during your free time. Kindly note that dinner for this evening is not included in the package price. You may choose to have Provencal Tapas at the regional wine bar or try another one of the well-known restaurants in town.

Day 5
Grab your light hiking shoes or good trainers for a chance to enjoy an alpine walk in the Alpilles. The Alpilles mountain range, which simply “the small Alps”, runs 18.6 miles in length and the area has been a protected regional park for the last ten years.

These hills are dotted with olive groves, vineyards, chic villages, and Roman ruins. You’ll discover the Roman ruins, the village Saint Remy, and Van Gogh’s Asylum (where Van Gogh was treated after living in Arles). Your guide will then take you on a moderate hike through the Mediterranean herbs and pines of Provence.

The highlight of today’s tour is a Provencal picnic hovering above the village.

In the afternoon, your guide will bring to life the Medieval village of Les Baux de Provence, when he explains the turbulent history that has characterized the village on the rocky crest. This experience also gives you a chance to sample ice-cream, pastry, and cappuccino. You’ll also enjoy the unique and ever popular visit of the medieval rock quarry turned into a Carrières de Lumière (sound and light show).

Back at the B&B, you’ll enjoy some downtime to revitalize before dinner in L’Isle sur la Sorgue.

Day 6
Prepare yourself to experience the vibrant urban setting in Provence where you’ll also enjoy a skill-testing surprise in the charming village of Lourmarin. A local Provencal Pétanque player will meet us below the castle, and then serve us drinks, and lunch while teaching us about the legendary game of Pétanque.

Afterward, you’ll leave your new Provencal pastime and be chauffeured to your luxurious 5-star accommodations in the lovely and vibrant city of Aix-en-Provence.

Your Provencal city experience will kick off with a guided tour where you’ll discover the cultural, historical, and artistic events over the various time eras. The kings, the Romans, the artists, the counts, and the saints have all made a contribution to the fascinating and astounding history of Aix.

During your free time in the evening, you may choose to either do some boutique shopping, take a massage at the hotel, or to enjoy a romantic dinner for two at one of the gastronomic restaurants in Aix. Kindly note that dinner is not included in the tour package price. You may choose to enjoy 2 nights lodging at Le Pigonnet.

Day 7
It’s your time to enjoy the blue Mediterranean for a day at the seaside in Cassis. Cassis is just a few minutes away from Marseille, the second largest city in France, but the two are a world apart. The town boasts of an adorable port, the highest sea cliffs in France, and tempting boutiques.

You can take a walk along the beach, the narrow alleyways, and even the port. Prepare yourself for some fresh seafood lunch served with regional AOC Cassis white wine.

Afterward, you’ll embark on a private boat to enable you to discover the turquoise waters and the massive limestone creeks popularly known here as Les Calanques. In case your tour coincides with an Indian summer, you can put on the snorkeling gear for an extra unforgettable experience.

This evening features a farewell dinner which will be served at the gourmet restaurant in the hotel. You’ll get an opportunity to enjoy a relaxing evening at the hotel where you get to experience your last treasured memories for a while.
