Activity Overview
Visit La Orotava Valley and Tacoronte, taste the famous red wines of the largest wine-growing area.
Today the Canary Islands, and especially Tenerife, are producing excellent wines. The non-grafted plants, volcanic soil and microclimates help to create these exclusive wines, from fresh fruity whites to full spicy reds. Hand laboured vineyards and artisan wineries are scattered all over the rugged geography of Tenerife, from the coast to the mountain slopes where the highest vineyards of Europe can be found.

Visit the Orotava Valley region to admire the unique “plaited” planting method and try their spectacular white wines. Then you will taste the red wines of the Tacoronte wine region, the largest wine-growing area with almost 2,500 hectares of vineyards, scattered with small artisan wineries and the famous “Guachinches” (the wine-makers’ patio or garage, where you can drink their wine accompanied by traditional homemade Canary dishes).

Olga, Wine & Vine Specialist, provided the most amazing private wine tour for our trip while in Tenerife, Spain. She incorporated stops along the way for photos and took us through the National Park while educating us along the way with the History of The Canary Islands, Tenerife and the Wine evolution. She planned a spectacular day to took us to 3 wineries, all interesting and different. All 3 showed ... more us a unique look and taste of the beautiful wines that are produced on Tenerife. We loved each and every stop. Bodega Vinos Bronce, Bodega Crater & Casa Del Vino were each amazing in their own way. My purchases from Bronce and Crater made it back safely to the states! Olga, thank you and anyone who is looking for an unforgettable wine tour experience, book with Olga! Our tour was on August 2, 2017.

We had a fabulous tour with Olga! She coordinated a great full day tour for our friend's hen-do. We visited two different wineries, one white and one red. We also stopped at a beautiful restaurant on the way back. I highly recommend this tour!
