Payments & Cancellations

Read the below to find out how payments are processed and refunds are handled

General
Tasting Escapes has a payment system that ensures a highly secured payment process for clients and partners.

Clients
We can accept all major debit and credit cards from customers in every country in 135+ currencies. 
Cards: VISA, MasterCard,  American Express Discover JCB Diners Club 3DS

Partners
When a client books an activity the total amount will be charged to the client and kept by Tasting Escapes in an escrow account (Stripe). Sellers may be charged for using some of Tasting Escapes services. This Fees & Payments Policy explains our fees.

Any action by a seller to avoid paying a fee is considered fee avoidance and is strictly prohibited by Tasting Escapes. This includes, for example, encouraging buyers to purchase an item in your Tasting Escapes account through another venue or service. Sharing email adresses, telephone numbers on our platform to avoid service provider fees is not allowed before booking confirmation.
Tasting escapes has to right to cancel accounts from providers that share personal contacts, like described above, before booking confirmation.

(i) Service Provider Fees

When you make a sale through Tasting Escapes, you will be charged a Service Provider Fee of 15% of the total activity price. The Service Provider Fee is automatically deducted from the payout to the seller.

(ii) Payment Processing Fees

Stripe charges a payment processing fee of 2.9% + 30 cents for processing each successful transaction through Stripe. This fee is assessed on the total amount of the sale, including tax. This fee is included in the Service Provider Fee.

Full fee payment model
The total amount minus the Tasting Escapes agreed commission will be transferred to the partners bank account on 1 business day after fullfilment.

Deposit payment model
We collect a deposit payment from the booking, you collect the rest in cash or credit directly from guest.

Refunds & cancellations
Our cancellation & refund policy is setup to protect the clients and the partners. 
Tasting Escapes partners will have the possibility to choice between 2 refund and cancellation policies. The partner's cancellation policy will be stated in each tasting profile.

Standard cancellation policy: Cancellations 48 hours upfront the day of the activity will be totally refunded. Any cancellation initiated after the the 48 hour until fulfilment day deadline will be not refunded to the client. The partner will receive the amount charged to the client minus the Tasting Escapes agreed commission.

Strict cancellation policy: Cancellations 7 days upfront the day of the activity will be totally refunded to the client. Any cancellation initiated after the the 7 days until fulfilment day deadline will be not refunded to the client. The partner will receive the amount charged to the client minus the Tasting Escapes agreed commission.

Cancellation initiated by partners
Client will receive a full refund. Partners are allowed to cancel their activities at any time.
