We welcome you to a hybrid, self-guided cycling and foodie tour where you savor some of the most famous food and wine in this region of France. The trip takes you through Burgundy’s ... moremarkets, where biking, food, and wine meet. You will bike among the vineyards while tasting the local cheeses. You will enjoy cultural sites, like the renowned Hospice de Beaune. We will ensure that you learn about the food as we offer you a cooking experience with professional chefs, where you professionally taste the local wines, like grand cru and priemier cru, and cheeses. You will learn how to bike with confidence through Burgundy. These experiences have very specific dates, and we, therefore, recommend that you book in advance to ensure you have room on the trip!


Day 1: Arrival in Dijon.
You will begin your Trail to Table adventure through Burgundy the moment you arrive in Dijon, you will have free time to relax and explore. Dijon is an ancient city with cobblestone streets that are endlessly walkable. You will stop by the Palace of the Dukes, the city's centerpiece. It currently houses the Fine Arts Museum. There are a variety of alluring restaurants to choose from for dinner!

Day 2: Dijon - Vosne Romanée (30 km/ 18.6 miles).
The day kicks off with an authentic culinary delight! You will join your host for the morning, a skilled local chef, to the market (Les Halles), where you will select fresh ingredients for the cooking lesson that awaits you. Dijon's covered market hall is a perfect foodie heaven boasting rows of stalls showcasing vegetables, pastries, bread, cheeses, meats, and much more. Just remember not to fill up on too many tastings and samples before your cooking lesson! The chef will take you through traditional French cooking processes that will definitely develop your culinary repertoire while enhancing your homemade meals in future. Afterward, you will hop on your bike for a relaxing ride through the neighboring vineyards on your way to the village of Vosnes Romanée. This village is located in the heart of Burgundy wine country. On your way, you will enjoy a break as you explore Château du Clos Vougeot, a wine farm initially established by monks in the 12th century. Later on, you will settle in to enjoy the scenery from your four-star hotel on an impressive vineyard estate.

Day 3: Vosne Romanée loop (33 km/ 20.5 miles).
You will take a relaxing loop ride across the vineyards from your hotel. You will enjoy a wine tasting experience at the family-run Domaine of Côte de Nuit. You will also get a chance to savor the product of the pinot noir grapes which makes this part of Burgundy popular. Your next stop will be at the cheese factory Gaugry in Brochon. It is a fromagerie run by generations of the Gaugry family, renown for producing traditional Burgundian cheeses that perfectly complement the region's wines. You will taste their savory products, and later on, make a leisurely return ride to spend your second night in the charming Hotel Richebourg.

Day 4: Vosne Romanée – Beaune (30km/ 18.6 miles).
You will start the day with a gentle ride through elegant French landscapes on your way to Beaune. You will visit the Château Aloxe Corton, popular for its special colored roof. It is Legendary believed that Emperor Charlemagne initially granted the land in the year 775 and a vineyard was established. You will get a chance to develop your knowledge of French varietals as you savor a tasting of local wines. You will also tour the museum of Maison Fallot and the mustard factory in Beaune. Maison Fallot is a family-owned mustard mill and the last independent in Burgundy, it forms part of the region's foodie tradition for over 200 now. This Fallot produces staple ingredients used by the leading chefs of France.

Day 5: Beaune Loop (30km/ 18.6 miles ride or 5km/ 3.1 miles hike).
Your day starts with a stroll of the Patriarche cellar. The cellar is composed of five kilometers of arched cellars that date back to the 13th century and holds millions of bottles! Afterward, you will head to the Hospices de Beaune to explore rare examples of 15th-century architecture. You will have lunch, then catch up with your bike for a ride through the country roads of la Côte de Beaune region, and then make a stop for a tasting in a family-owned Domaine.

Day 6: Departure Day.
On this final day, we say 'au revoir!' After breakfast, you will depart at your leisure, hopefully with a few bottles of wine, and plenty of memories to relive your Trail to Table adventure again and again.
