Centered in and around the Oltrarno quarter of Florence situated just south of the River Arno, our 2.5-hour walking tour guides you around one of the city’s most notable historic areas. Here, you will be able to appreciate such sights as Michelangelo Square and the Basilica of the Holy Spirit.

However, our true tour experience will center around casual arrival at some of the Oltrarno areas traditional bars and eateries. Here and while inspiring you with tales of the area's rich history, our guides will introduce you to some of Florence and Italy is most celebrated local beers and such beers traditional food pairings.

We'll leave Florence by a 4WD air-conditioned vehicle for this once-in-a-lifetime food and wine experience in Chianti. You'll get the chance to take in the remarkable landscapes, ancient villages, and stunning views.

Our first stop in Chianti will be at the estate of one of the oldest Italian aristocratic families. The estate's property boasts a Renaissance villa that extends for approximately 250 hectares in the heart of the Chianti Classico. You'll explore the underground cellars designed in the 17th century and also enjoy an olive oil and wine tasting.

We'll take you through a picturesque route through the prettiest landscape in Chianti with the cypress-covered hills or along the crest of a ridge, scattered farmhouses, charming ancient villages everywhere, castles, olive gardens, and vineyards. We'll then take you to a typical Tuscan trattoria for a tasty gourmet lunch in conformity to traditional recipes made with simple, good, fresh ingredients. The Tuscan food may be simple, but it has a rich flavor, is very hearty and filling!

In the afternoon, we'll visit the most celebrated Chianti village: Greve, for its unique atmosphere, crafts shops, and delicious flavors! Here you'll enjoy some free time for private investigation and shopping. We'll also take you to the most famous butcher in Italy then proceed to our second winery.

The last estate that we'll visit is situated in a land rich in clays and limestone. These soils are ideal for olive trees and vines. The vines cover an entire hill while the cellar is set within an ancient hamlet. This last visit will prove to be the ideal way to conclude an amazing Chianti Food & Wine Tour!
