Activity Overview
Trips start in Barcelona at 8 AM (weekends) and 9 AM (weekdays) in a 4wheel drive vehicle with full air conditioning and go straight to a Natural Park near to Barcelona, where you will find the equestrian center.

After aiding us to prepare the horses to ride in the horse field (for around 30 minutes), your knowledgeable guide will offer you some tips and a procedural elucidation.

Afterward, enjoy a picturesque, gentle, guided trip on horseback through different trails in the woods of the Natural Park. This ranch is bordered by a massive extension of mountains and woods.

After the one and half hour escapade in the forest, you will get the chance to learn how to care for the horses after the vigorous walk. The morning ends with a nourishing bite in the ranch. Be prepared to enjoy a Spanish and Catalan lunch, while sharing stories of your memorable horseback riding event.

Furthermore, you will get time to see the exceptional views of Barcelona and horse riding place before going to the wine yards.

The day goes on with an appointment of a family-owned winery, where you will learn about the remarkable underground cellars while the proprietor of the winery clarifies you how the famed wine and cava (area champagne) are formed, from the first pressing of grapes to fermentation in cellars.

After visiting the cellars and vineyards take part in a cava and wine-tasting session, enjoying the beautiful notes of the local wine and champagne. We had six people on our tour and we were in a comfortable mini van. Our tour guide Barbara had an incredible wealth of knowledge on the history of the winery and the horses that we rode. She was a great guide and really made this tour the highlight of our time in Spain. We drank good wines, ate wonderful tapas, and had guides that were knowledgable, caring, and added a whole other level of fun and ... more laughter.About the ride on the morning, I have to say that was execellent, the horse are really well trained and look healthy. The ride was enjoyable and the winery wonderful. Nice tour

What a great, fun and different day! I highly recommend this tour as we could of not have enjoyed it more. The guide went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and went above and beyond pointing our important sights during our drive to the horse stables. When we got to meet the horses, we were surprised to see how well taken care. They made us engage with them, brushing them and teaching us ... more of how to properly handle a horse and I loved it! After a great riding training, we enjoyed our ride through trails inside the woods and amazing views of the mountains and all Barcelona. We had some typical tasty Spanish food and headed to a typical family owned vineyard. I thought Id be husttle, but truth is we were never rushed and the ride there was smooth and very comforting. The wine was delicious and the people of the winery just as friendly as everyone else during the day. We really felt extremely taken care of and were so grateful for everyone being so nice, explanatory and patient with us answering any question, helping us with everything, sharing all their knowledge of the culture, our surroundings, the horses, the food and whatnot. We could of not have asked for a better experience and a better care! This is an experience well cherish for many years to come! Thank you!

With a dream to make tangible research become alive and living history. Combing tours and food experiences, this project aims to financially support non-profit Mozaika, a cultural ... moreJewish platform, and act as a conduit to explore Jewish heritage through gastronomic experiences, family traditions and the unique 1000 year old Jewish legacy in Cataluyna.

Set the heart of Barcelona’s old Jewish Quarter, Toldot brings you the magic of Casa Adret, a 13th-century palace-house. Atmospheric and enchanting, this award winning architectural gem showcases ancient walls, high ceilings, rooftop terrace with views of Barcelona. Entering its walls is a shortcut to the Middle Ages, and dining in its space is a truly rare and special opportunity. Once Jewish home, Casa Adret is now Mozaika’s Hub, a Jewish Cultural and Research centre where activities range from gastronomic experiences, concerts, debates, book festivals, cultural activities and more, bringing much needed cultural revival to Barcelona’s ancient Jewish quarter.

By booking a tour or dinner, you are financially supporting the running of Casa Adret, Mozaika and reviving Jewish life in Barcelona.

Monica, from Mexico City, was raised in a Syrian Jewish family, and Eva, from Melbourne Australia, with the Askenazi Polish connection. The duo explore Jewish gastronomy through family heritage, traditions and Jewish food legacy. Inspired by the way our mothers and grandmothers have always cooked for us, abundantly and with love, Monica and Eva believe that by sharing a table, we can create a shared experience of our past and celebrate each others individual histories.

Gothic Tour
Our tours have been developed by Mozaika members, historians and researchers, to bring rigorous investigation and explore the lesser know histories of the Catalan Jewish story. Duration 1.5-2 hours.

The Gothic Tour walks through the Jewish community of the Middle Ages, 11-14th century. We’ll walk through the gothic Jewish quarter and “El Call", where you can discover its history, important figures and Jewish life at the time. You’ll meet a poet, a doctor, a coral merchant, a great debate and glimpse Mediterranean trade. The tour includes exclusive access to Casa Adret, a medieval house once owned by the Jewish family of Astruc Adret until the riots of 1391, now head quarters and research centre of Mozaika.

Workshops
Jewish gastronomy is as vast and different as the countries that we come from. Food in Judaism, is immersed in tradition and in religion. We want to take you on a tour of the flavours of our mothers and grandmothers: their secrets, stories, textures, festivals. Every recipe has a story, which will unfold while we cook together, at the same time as share the history of the magical space we are in, Casa Adret. After preparing a traditional recipe, we will have a vermut on the terrace, with views of Barcelona’s old city, and share the fruits of our recently cooked recipes and more!
