This Taste for Adventure combined experience will start with our Good Food, Wine & Cider morning tour.  At the conclusion of the morning tour you will visit the region’s premier attraction, the famous Caversham Wildlife Park,  boasting over 200 plant species and over 2000 animals.

Visitors may also opt to start the day with a self-catered transportation visit to the Caversham Wildlife Park after which they can join the afternoon Good Food Wine & Beer Tour at Guildford.

Caversham Wildlife Park normally offers two shows - Farm Show as well as Meet the Wombat & Friends - three times daily!

Shows are held daily at 11 am, 2 pm, and 3.45pm.

The farm shows include

Caversham Wildlife Park boasts a souvenir shop and kiosk, which are open daily from 9.00am to 5.30pm. It offers you the chance to take home a remarkable souvenir, and you can also take a photograph with koalas, or feed the kangaroos as you experience the amazing selection of animals in the lovely natural bushland.

This comprehensive package comprises the AM Good Food & Wine & Cider Tour OR the PM Good Food Wine & Beer Tour with an Admission Pass for adults and children to the Caversham Wildlife Park which makes it ideal for the whole family.

The park is located in Whiteman Park only 12 kms from Perth. Admission caters for all shows, talks, photo opportunities and animal feed. You may opt to use the Caversham Wildlife Park 3-month valid Admission Pass on the day of the tour or postpone for a future schedule. The Pass grants you the opportunity to join your Taste Bud Tour when you are in Perth. Kindly note the pass is not transferable and is only valid within the 3 months of your day visit/arrival and cannot be redeemable for cash.

AM Tour guests are required to transfer from the Swan Valley Visitor Center to the Caversham Wildlife Park where they can arrange for their return transport. Taxis are accessible at the Swan Valley Visitor Centre and booking can be made in advance. Guests will be picked up for the morning tour from either Perth CBD, at selected hotels depending on the arrangement, and at the Swan Valley Visitor Centre.

PM Tour Guests will need to make arrangements for their transfer from the Caversham Wildlife Park to the pickup spot opposite the Swan Valley Visitor Centre in Meadow Street, Guildford for the 1:50 pm departure. Guests will experience a complimentary drop off in Perth, or designated hotels by arrangement.

Your tour of the Caversham Wildlife Park is not related to the tour. Caversham Wildlife Park offers a complimentary shuttle bus service to connect with public transport to Perth. This alternative is convenient and less costly. Public transport costs approximately AUS $4 per person. Simply alert the staff at the Park, when you decide to return to Perth.

In case you postpone the admission pass for another day, Public Transport is accessible to and from Perth, and you will be provided with instructions on the Admission Pass. Great package!
This package was great for our family – honey, nougat, chocolate, ice-cream for the kids, and cheese and wines for the grown ups. We all had a great time at the Wildlife Park meeting the wombat, cuddling the koalas and feeding the kangaroos. What a fab idea – we’ll be telling all our friends

This is the only Perth food tour dedicated to good old American BBQ! Eat and drink your way around Perth on a progressive lunch of delicious pit smoked BBQ meats and sides and discover ... moresome of Perth's hidden small bars while you're at it.

Did you know that Perth has a chef with a Bachelor of Barbeque Science, trained in Kansas by the one of the world’s most accomplished barbeque pitmasters? Meet him on this tasty food tour and hear how he uses his Ole Hickory smoker to create Australian low and slow, pit-smoked Barbeque.

On this food tour get off the beaten tourist path like a real local, tasting delicious pit smoked Bar-b-q meats and sides from three very different kitchens as well as discovering some small bars around Perth. All heavily influenced by a passion for traditional southern style smoking techniques, each chef adds his own 'flavour' and style by using local cuts of meat, a combination of beech, hickory and coal to impart unique flavours, a secret mix of spices and their own signature house-made sauces.

American barbeque is a very casual style of eating (there are no white tablecloths here!) you will need to get stuck in with your hands, cover your ribs in sauce and make new friends as you bond over a 16-hour smoked brisket. And of course, no BBQ experience is complete without all the usual suspects such as glorious Mac n Cheese, hearty smoked baked beans and a generous side of southern hospitality.

Just as you start to feel like you are heading into a meat coma, we will stop in at one of Perth's best hidden small bars for a tasty cocktail before we continue on our way!

This tour is a great day out for a group of food-loving friends, and for visitors to Perth this is a really unique way to see the City and get to places that you otherwise wouldn't find. As we stop in each neighbourhood, your guide Paul will also point out a few other Perth hidden gems that are worth coming back to visit.

One thing we absolutely guarantee is that you will not finish the day hungry!

If you're looking for an in-depth and personalised wine tour, then this is the one for you. On this Up Close and Local tour, it's not just about tasting a wide range of amazing varietals ... moreat the best Swan Valley wineries. We go beyond the cellar door and take you behind the scenes into the winery and vineyard to get an insight into wine production, the unique terroir of this region and to meet the winemakers. This behind-the-scenes insight is unique to each tour depending on what stage in the vintage it is and what is happening in the winery on the day - you may get to see picking, crushing, blending or even experience a barrel tasting - you just never know what the winemaker will have in store for us!

We have great relationships with some of the best winemakers in the region, and with this insider knowledge the itinerary for each tour is thoughtfully crafted to ensure our guests get the best possible experience, each and every day. Often this means that you may get access to experiences that are not available to the general public.

Guaranteed small group sizes (max. 12 people) also mean that Up Close and Local Tours have access to wineries that won't accommodate the big tour buses - so you get away from the crowds and off the regular beaten tourist path for a more intimate and one-on-one tasting experience. All of the wineries we visit are family owned, and are personally hand-picked by us for their quality winemaking skills, as well as their historical significance to the region – and obviously because they have some excellent wines for you to taste!

This is an ‘all inclusive’ tour – with all wine tastings included in your tour price (including reserve and award winning wines), plus a gourmet platter lunch with a glass of Swan Valley wine and exclusive behind the scenes experiences.

You will have the chance to sample well over 50 wines throughout the day - everything from a Verdelho to a Durif to a Muscat. Most of the wines you will try are produced small batch, so the only place you can find them is at the cellar door. This is the ultimate wine tour for people that really want to experience the best hidden gems in the Swan Valley.

The day is set at a relaxed pace so that we have plenty of time for questions and discussion at the wineries and with your fellow wine lovers.

Uncover the best wines that the Swan Valley has to offer on an Up Close and Local wine adventure. Our guaranteed small groups (max. 12 people) mean that we have access to wineries ... morethat won't accommodate the big tour buses - so you get away from the crowds and off the regular beaten tourist path to receive a more memorable, intimate and one-on-one tasting experience.

On this half day wine tour in the Swan Valley, we visit wineries that are all family owned, and have been hand-picked by us for their quality and historic contribution to the region (and their amazing wine, of course). The wineries we select can change daily to ensure that you get the best possible experience on each day, and at each winery. We take the time to discuss the wines - sometimes with the winemaker themselves – so you can get to know the locals and learn about the Swan Valley's history as Australia's second oldest wine growing region.

All wine tastings are included in your tour, including reserve and award winning wines, and you will have the chance to sample well over 30 wines - everything from a Verdelho to a Durif to a Muscat. Most of the wines you will try are produced small batch, so the only place you can find them is at the cellar door.

The afternoon is set at a relaxed pace so that we have plenty of time for questions and discussion, and you will also enjoy a delicious afternoon cheese platter to compliment your wine tasting at one of the wineries.

While we may be serious about our wine, you can rest assured this is definitely a fun afternoon discovering the real gems of the Swan Valley with fellow wine lovers.
