SPEED GRAZING the Swan Valley ! If you just love the “sweeter” things in life, have a healthy appetite for great taste and friendly fun – then this half day moning Food Focused morning tour is for you! After picking up in Perth, our final pickup stop is the historic town of Guildford, only 13kms from Perth. Guildford is the major gateway to the Swan Valley, Perth’s Culinary Playground. Throughout your tour you will enjoy entertaining commentary including an insight into the region's history and culture with colonial, pioneering, indigenous and Southern European origins.

Yahava Koffee Works
On our Good Food, Wine & Cider Tour, you will start your morning with a visit to the exciting Yahava Koffee Works. Here you will sample exotic coffees from around the world, refreshing iced coffee, and spicy chai latte accompanied by chocolate coated coffee beans while witnessing the roasting, blending and grinding of the beans.

Windarra Honey
Then we visit one of the unique aspects of this tour known as Windarra Honey. Windara Honey provides an opportunity to meet a bee-keeper (Phil) and taste an extensive range of natural unheated liquid and creamed honeys and sparkling honey water.  There is also an observation hive where you can see bees at work and try spot the queen!

Olive Farm Wines
Our Saturday tour will visit Olive Farm Wines (the oldest winery in Western Australia est. 1829) to sample an extensive range of sparkling and still wines accompanied by delicious marinated Kalamata olives, plus awarded fortified wines accompanied by decadent Whistlers dark chocolate shards.  Enjoy an opportunity to view a working winery and explore the history behind this iconic fourth generation Swan Valley wine making family.

Harris Organic Wines
Our Sunday tour will visit Harris Organic Wines (the only organic winery in Perth Western Australia) to meet Duncan Harris.  Award winning organic wines lovingly nurtured while caring for the environment.  The premium range will have some delicious surprises.  Duncan established this property 20 years ago and has some great stories to share reflecting the history of this unique, highly recognised and awarded winery.

Windy Creek Estate Wines
Midweek our tour visits award winning Windy Creek Estate Wines owned and operated since 1937 by the Cobanov family.  Ruth and Tony are passionate about their extensive range of quality wines and fortifieds. Guests will also enjoy a selection of Western Australian cheeses as well as an exciting range of home-made chutneys, spreads and jams.

Maalinup Aboriginal Gallery
Uncover Australia’s unique indigenous culture and history. Our morning tour includes an intriguing visit to Maalinup Aboriginal Gallery to explore genuine Australian Bush Tucker. Guests will taste from an extensive range of jams, sauces, chutneys which are all made with Australian native food plants. Of course this renowned gallery showcases works by some of Australia’s leading indigenous artists, and provides guests the opportunity to purchase hand crafted jewellery, glassware and artifacts. Weather permitting guests will also have the opportunity to feed inquisitive local Emus.

Oggie’s Ice-Cream Cafe
Continiung along the sweet treats trail, our tour visits well known Oggie’s Ice-cream Cafe & English Sweet Shop. Here you will enjoy unlimited tasting of hand-crafted cool creations. Owner Steve can create over 60 different flavours of ice-cream including apple pie and lemon lime bitters.

Mondo Nougat
The next stop of the tour is the Swan Valley’s famous Mondo Nougat for sampling. Here you will be able to look through the viewing window into the production of this authentic Italian style delight.

Morish Nuts
Explore unlimited free tasting of the delicious range of hand crafted confectionary, produced to a traditional family recipe.  The perfect indulgence is created in their onsite kitchen by artisans, using only the finest Australian nuts, resulting in a natural confection FREE of Gluten, Lactose, Additives, Preservatives or Colouring agents.

Whistler’s Chocolate Company
Our tour would not be complete without visiting Western Australia’s oldest confectionary company Whistlers Chocolate Company. Here you can treat yourselves to the generous sampling which may include Fudge, Rocky Road, Coconut Rough, Peanut Clusters, Chocolate Licorice, Chocolate Pretzels and more.  Chocaholics rejoice!!

Michael Brothers Juice & FUNK Cider
Our tour includes a visit to Michael Brothers Juice for extensive tasting of pure unprocessed raw chemical free fruit juices. Our visit also includes a unique tasting experience – sample awarded pure chemical free fruit ciders at Funk Cider (only cidery in Australia using “real fruit”).

Maison Saint-Honore Macaron & Cake Factory
The midweek morning tour will visit Maison Saint-Honore – the Swan Valley’s only Macaron & Cake Factory – to enjoy an insightful view of production as well as a delicious sampling of freshly baked macarons. Meet the passionate creator of this unique factory and share his passion to continue a family tradition established in France and now delivered in the Swan Valley.

This Taste for Adventure combined experience will start with our Good Food, Wine & Cider morning tour. At the conclusion of the morning tour you will visit the region’s premier attraction, the famous Caversham Wildlife Park, boasting over 200 plant species and over 2000 animals.

Visitors may also opt to start the day with a self-catered transportation visit to the Caversham Wildlife Park after which they can join the afternoon Good Food Wine & Beer Tour at Guildford.

Caversham Wildlife Park normally offers two shows - Farm Show as well as Meet the Wombat & Friends - three times daily!

Shows are held daily at 11 am, 2 pm, and 3.45pm.

• Billy tea tossing

Caversham Wildlife Park boasts a souvenir shop and kiosk, which are open daily from 9.00am to 5.30pm. It offers you the chance to take home a remarkable souvenir, and you can also take a photograph with koalas, or feed the kangaroos as you experience the amazing selection of animals in the lovely natural bushland.

This comprehensive package comprises the AM Good Food & Wine & Cider Tour OR the PM Good Food Wine & Beer Tour with an Admission Pass for adults and children to the Caversham Wildlife Park which makes it ideal for the whole family.

The park is located in Whiteman Park only 12 kms from Perth. Admission caters for all shows, talks, photo opportunities and animal feed. You may opt to use the Caversham Wildlife Park 3-month valid Admission Pass on the day of the tour or postpone for a future schedule. The Pass grants you the opportunity to join your Taste Bud Tour when you are in Perth. Kindly note the pass is not transferable and is only valid within the 3 months of your day visit/arrival and cannot be redeemable for cash.

AM Tour guests are required to transfer from the Swan Valley Visitor Center to the Caversham Wildlife Park where they can arrange for their return transport. Taxis are accessible at the Swan Valley Visitor Centre and booking can be made in advance. Guests will be picked up for the morning tour from either Perth CBD, at selected hotels depending on the arrangement, and at the Swan Valley Visitor Centre.

PM Tour Guests will need to make arrangements for their transfer from the Caversham Wildlife Park to the pickup spot opposite the Swan Valley Visitor Centre in Meadow Street, Guildford for the 1:50 pm departure. Guests will experience a complimentary drop off in Perth, or designated hotels by arrangement.

Your tour of the Caversham Wildlife Park is not related to the tour. Caversham Wildlife Park offers a complimentary shuttle bus service to connect with public transport to Perth. This alternative is convenient and less costly. Public transport costs approximately AUS $4 per person. Simply alert the staff at the Park, when you decide to return to Perth.

In case you postpone the admission pass for another day, Public Transport is accessible to and from Perth, and you will be provided with instructions on the Admission Pass. The transport consists of; buses, free shuttle service, and trains. It is a 40 minute journey that will cost you approximately AUS $8 return per adult and covers for all transport.

Margaret River Chocolate Co (Swan Valley)
This Swan Valley Tour will then visit the Margaret River Chocolate Co enjoying generous chocolate tasting. The Margaret River Chocolate Co is the sole privately-owned business approved as a West Australian Icon, in the special edition of the globally best-selling board game - Monopoly.

Margaret River Providore (Swan Valley)
You will explore an extensive selection of providores like chutneys, jams, sauces, chocolate and savory sauces . You can also purchase cured meats, and cheeses. You may also sample alcoholic chocolate liqueurs and awarded wines.

Lavender Bistro & Boutique
A "taste of France" in the region. Here you will sample unique oven fresh lavender scones with lavender jam and cream with refreshing lavender tea and a shot of sparkling Moscato. You will also enjoy the opportunity to sample a selection of lavender oils, honey, jams and chutneys. You can also visit the sensuous gift shop to try the body products.

Taylors Art & Coffee House
Here you will meet Jude Taylor, a nationally recognised resident local artist, who is eager to share her personal family stories and explain her unique artworks. You will taste a delicious treat, centered on the Swan Valley’s honour, as the initial "humane food" region in Australia.

The House of Honey _ Sticky Spoon Cafe
The House of Honey is one of the most unique tourist destinations in Australia. This establishment proudly specializes in pure, unpasteurized and uncontaminated varietal styles of honey. Rupert the beekeeper ventured into beekeeping at the age of 8 and harvests his honey only when the bees have capped the cells, which allows the honey to ripen and mature, giving it an exceptional taste.

The House of Honey - Meadery
You may also explore the extensive range of alcoholic mead on offer.

Twin Hill Wines
We visit Twin Hill Wines owned and operated by the Kraljevich Family since 1937. The wine tasting takes place in the heart of the winery surrounded by the family history and the huge wine tanks. You will sample premium fortified and still wines, marinated Kalamatta and Sicilian olives accompanied by West Australian handcrafted gourmet cheeses. Also available for purchase are oak barrels.

Seasonal Roadside Farmstall visit (weather permitting) offering the opportunity to stock up on fresh seasonal local produce straight from the farmer.

Ironbark Brewery
Our Speed Grazing tour will conclude with an opportunity to "meet the brewer" and enjoy a sample of icy cold beer, alcoholic or non-alcoholic ginger beer or cider at the multi internationally awarded Ironbark Brewery. Ironbark Brewery boasts a selection of 48 beers, the largest in the Valley. Here the “speed grazing” slows down to a relaxed “kickback”, where you can enjoy Ironbark Brewery’s renowned “Wood Fired Pizzas”, dips and damper, salt and pepper squid, nachos or wedges (own expense) before heading back home.
