Activity Overview
Come and join us on our internationally awarded SPEED GRAZING escapade through the Swan Valley!

This afternoon half day tour features small personalised groups of 6-16 people exploring the Food & Wine Trail focusing on "good food and beverage" and friendly fun! Guests will be picked up in Perth, followed by our final pickup and meeting location, in the historic town of Guildford. Guildford is located 13 kms from Perth and is the major Gateway to The Swan Valley - Perth’s Culinary Playground. You will enjoy entertaining commentary throughout the tour including an insight into the region's history and culture with colonial, pioneering, indigenous and European origins.

Yahava Koffee Works
Commence your afternoon with a visit to Yahava Koffee Works. Here you will taste exotic coffees from around the world, as well as refreshing Chai Latte, and Iced Coffee accompanied by indulgent chocolate coated coffee beans, as you witness the roasting, blending and grinding of the coffee beans.

Margaret River Chocolate Co (Swan Valley)
This Swan Valley Tour will then visit the Margaret River Chocolate Co enjoying generous chocolate tasting. The Margaret River Chocolate Co is the sole privately-owned business approved as a West Australian Icon, in the special edition of the globally best-selling board game - Monopoly.

Margaret River Providore  (Swan Valley)
You will explore an extensive selection of providores like chutneys, jams, sauces, chocolate and savory sauces . You can also purchase cured meats, and cheeses. You may also sample alcoholic chocolate liqueurs and awarded wines.

Lavender Bistro & Boutique
A "taste of France" in the region. Here you will sample unique oven fresh lavender scones with lavender jam and cream with refreshing lavender tea and a shot of sparkling Moscato. You will also enjoy the opportunity to sample a selection of lavender oils, honey, jams and chutneys. You can also visit the sensuous gift shop to try the body products.

Taylors Art & Coffee House
Here you will meet Jude Taylor, a nationally recognised resident local artist, who is eager to share her personal family stories and explain her unique artworks. You will taste a delicious treat, centered on the Swan Valley’s honour, as the initial "humane food" region in Australia.

The House of Honey _ Sticky Spoon Cafe
The House of Honey is one of the most unique tourist destinations in Australia. This establishment proudly specializes in pure, unpasteurized and uncontaminated varietal styles of honey. Rupert the beekeeper ventured into beekeeping at the age of 8 and harvests his honey only when the bees have capped the cells, which allows the honey to ripen and mature, giving it an exceptional taste.

The House of Honey - Meadery
You may also explore the extensive range of alcoholic mead on offer.

Twin Hill Wines
We visit Twin Hill Wines owned and operated by the Kraljevich Family since 1937. The wine tasting takes place in the heart of the winery surrounded by the family history and the huge wine tanks. You will sample premium fortified and still wines, marinated Kalamatta and Sicilian olives accompanied by West Australian handcrafted gourmet cheeses. Also available for purchase are oak barrels.

Seasonal Roadside Farmstall visit (weather permitting) offering the opportunity to stock up on fresh seasonal local produce straight from the farmer.

Ironbark Brewery
Our Speed Grazing tour will conclude with an opportunity to "meet the brewer" and enjoy a sample of icy cold beer, alcoholic or non-alcoholic ginger beer or cider at the multi internationally awarded Ironbark Brewery. Ironbark Brewery boasts a selection of 48 beers, the largest in the Valley. Here the “speed grazing” slows down to a relaxed “kickback”, where you can enjoy Ironbark Brewery’s renowned “Wood Fired Pizzas”, dips and damper, salt and pepper squid, nachos or wedges (own expense) before heading back home.

This is the only Perth food tour dedicated to good old American BBQ! Eat and drink your way around Perth on a progressive lunch of delicious pit smoked BBQ meats and sides and discover ... moresome of Perth's hidden small bars while you're at it.

Did you know that Perth has a chef with a Bachelor of Barbeque Science, trained in Kansas by the one of the world’s most accomplished barbeque pitmasters? Meet him on this tasty food tour and hear how he uses his Ole Hickory smoker to create Australian low and slow, pit-smoked Barbeque.

On this food tour get off the beaten tourist path like a real local, tasting delicious pit smoked Bar-b-q meats and sides from three very different kitchens as well as discovering some small bars around Perth. All heavily influenced by a passion for traditional southern style smoking techniques, each chef adds his own 'flavour' and style by using local cuts of meat, a combination of beech, hickory and coal to impart unique flavours, a secret mix of spices and their own signature house-made sauces.

American barbeque is a very casual style of eating (there are no white tablecloths here!) you will need to get stuck in with your hands, cover your ribs in sauce and make new friends as you bond over a 16-hour smoked brisket. And of course, no BBQ experience is complete without all the usual suspects such as glorious Mac n Cheese, hearty smoked baked beans and a generous side of southern hospitality.

Just as you start to feel like you are heading into a meat coma, we will stop in at one of Perth's best hidden small bars for a tasty cocktail before we continue on our way!

This tour is a great day out for a group of food-loving friends, and for visitors to Perth this is a really unique way to see the City and get to places that you otherwise wouldn't find. As we stop in each neighbourhood, your guide Paul will also point out a few other Perth hidden gems that are worth coming back to visit.

One thing we absolutely guarantee is that you will not finish the day hungry!

If you're looking for an in-depth and personalised wine tour, then this is the one for you. On this Up Close and Local tour, it's not just about tasting a wide range of amazing varietals ... moreat the best Swan Valley wineries. We go beyond the cellar door and take you behind the scenes into the winery and vineyard to get an insight into wine production, the unique terroir of this region and to meet the winemakers. This behind-the-scenes insight is unique to each tour depending on what stage in the vintage it is and what is happening in the winery on the day - you may get to see picking, crushing, blending or even experience a barrel tasting - you just never know what the winemaker will have in store for us!

We have great relationships with some of the best winemakers in the region, and with this insider knowledge the itinerary for each tour is thoughtfully crafted to ensure our guests get the best possible experience, each and every day. Often this means that you may get access to experiences that are not available to the general public.

Guaranteed small group sizes (max. 12 people) also mean that Up Close and Local Tours have access to wineries that won't accommodate the big tour buses - so you get away from the crowds and off the regular beaten tourist path for a more intimate and one-on-one tasting experience. All of the wineries we visit are family owned, and are personally hand-picked by us for their quality winemaking skills, as well as their historical significance to the region – and obviously because they have some excellent wines for you to taste!

This is an ‘all inclusive’ tour – with all wine tastings included in your tour price (including reserve and award winning wines), plus a gourmet platter lunch with a glass of Swan Valley wine and exclusive behind the scenes experiences.

You will have the chance to sample well over 50 wines throughout the day - everything from a Verdelho to a Durif to a Muscat. Most of the wines you will try are produced small batch, so the only place you can find them is at the cellar door. This is the ultimate wine tour for people that really want to experience the best hidden gems in the Swan Valley.

The day is set at a relaxed pace so that we have plenty of time for questions and discussion at the wineries and with your fellow wine lovers.

Uncover the best wines that the Swan Valley has to offer on an Up Close and Local wine adventure. Our guaranteed small groups (max. 12 people) mean that we have access to wineries ... morethat won't accommodate the big tour buses - so you get away from the crowds and off the regular beaten tourist path to receive a more memorable, intimate and one-on-one tasting experience.

On this half day wine tour in the Swan Valley, we visit wineries that are all family owned, and have been hand-picked by us for their quality and historic contribution to the region (and their amazing wine, of course). The wineries we select can change daily to ensure that you get the best possible experience on each day, and at each winery. We take the time to discuss the wines - sometimes with the winemaker themselves – so you can get to know the locals and learn about the Swan Valley's history as Australia's second oldest wine growing region.

All wine tastings are included in your tour, including reserve and award winning wines, and you will have the chance to sample well over 30 wines - everything from a Verdelho to a Durif to a Muscat. Most of the wines you will try are produced small batch, so the only place you can find them is at the cellar door.

The afternoon is set at a relaxed pace so that we have plenty of time for questions and discussion, and you will also enjoy a delicious afternoon cheese platter to compliment your wine tasting at one of the wineries.

While we may be serious about our wine, you can rest assured this is definitely a fun afternoon discovering the real gems of the Swan Valley with fellow wine lovers.
