Then within a 5 minutes’ walk, you will arrive at Quinta do Bomfim, a region famous for its finest Wine Estates. It is a charming and typical Port Wine Quinta, located in Cima Corgo, bestowed with a breath-taking view over the fantastic valley from the terrace, where you will get the chance to have a wonderful picnic. This incredible experience will culminate with port wine tasting.

09h00: Train departure from S. Bento in Porto

11h08: Arrive at Régua station.

We pick you up at Regua station and transfer you to the quay located at Folgosa.

11:30 am: Board a classic boat at Folgosa and we take you to Quinta da Romaneira for a winery tour and some Wine tasting.

Lunch is served on board.

At 2:00 pm: A winery tour with wine tasting at Quinta do Bomfim.

At 3:30 pm: Board the boat for the return journey by boat to Folgosa

At 5:00 pm: Tour the Quinta da Pacheca for a trip to the winery and some tasting of their excellent Ports.

Approximately 7.30 pm: we drop you back in Porto at your hotel.

This two-hour boat trip is designed to take you through the Douro River in the Rabelo, a traditional boat. This little craft was used to transport the Port Wine from the Alto Douro, to the cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia.
You will have an extensive view of the Douro Valley, from the boat, as you sail through a stretch of the river not observed from the major roads. You will appreciate its unique terrain, with vineyards and terraces and multiple wineries. The Alto Douro Vinhateiro region was endorsed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001. It is an amazingly representative section of the exceptional scenery of the Douro Demarcated Region, the oldest demarcated region in the world.
We will depart at Pinhão, a village in the heart of the Douro, where you will return at the end of the excursion. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to go for a swim in the exhilarating waters of the Douro River.

Your guide will pick you up at your hotel and drive you through the marvelous Douro landscapes to the first stop, an old railway bridge in Peso da Régua passing over the Douro River. While crossing the bridge, you will learn about its history as well as the Douro Valley.
