Our most popular introductory one-day cooking class and the advanced daily class, for the gourmands who desire a more intense day of gourmet cooking: choose from these two different one-day cooking classes. In the unique spacious kitchen of the Renaissance Villa Pandolfini. You can attend hands-on cooking lessons with one of our qualified Italian chefs who will teach you all the tricks

Along both our daily classes, you will receive a copy of our Ultimate Tuscan Recipe Book. During the “Italian Immersion” one-day class, you will receive a Good Tastes of Tuscany signature apron. There will be hands-on instructions given throughout the day and also tips and new techniques given and explained by our Italian Chefs.

We recommend with great pleasure some of the finest local wines, to accompany the diverse dishes. Taking photos is encouraged as well as drinking wine and singing along with your favorite Italian Opera, as we prepare our feast.

Choose from two different one day cooking classes in Florence

1. Taste of Tuscany – Introduction to Tuscan Cuisine – 140.00 euro per person
Enjoy a one day hands-on cooking lesson with our Italian chefs introducing you to authentic Tuscan recipes.

Discover step by step how to make a satisfying full Italian menu, from the antipasto appetizer to dessert, including the art of making pasta fresca! Learn to cook pasta such as tagliatelle or pici in this fun hands-on pasta making adventure. After you prepare your pasta, the chef will help you to a prepare tempting sauce to accompany it such as fresh basil pesto, Ragout of wild mushrooms, sweet onion meat, duck ragout and an array of other sauces.

The second course is a meat or fish dish with a vegetable contorno , then the tuscan dessert!

There is also an Optional Additional Market visit with the chefs for €45 per person (minimum 2 persons to hold the market visit). Recipes vary according to the season and we utilize only the freshest ingredients available for this Tuscan experience. The best part is the conclusion, which indulges in the success of your creations.
  • 09:30 – Meet our driver at our central meeting point in Florence and begin your short 20 minute ride to the Villa Pandolfini, where you will meet your chef and begin your one day class.
  • 10:00 – Begins with highlighting the history of Tuscan cooking and presenting the day’s menu. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves for hands-on preparation of a glorious meal in one of our two authentic Tuscan kitchens.
  • 13:00 – Enjoy the fruits of your labour – Eat the epic feast that you just created complemented by the estate’s own Chianti wine and extra virgin olive oil.
  • 14:00 – Return to Florence or your next destination with a full stomach, a Tuscan recipe book and memories to share with your family and friends
2. An Italian Immersion – 5 Hour Tuscan Cooking Class – 190.00 euro per person
Do you want to expand your collection of Italian recipes? Get ready to savor some traditional and innovative Tuscan specialties. Learn how to prepare a beautiful Tuscan meal that will impress even the most experienced foodies. This class focuses on stuffed pastas such as the ravioli and on sauces. We also teach you to cook a perfect risotto beginning with making the broth and also the main course (meat) and the dessert.

This meal will be from 5 to 6 courses and it comprises of two antipasti, two first courses such as a ravioli risotto or gnocchi, a second course with one or two side dishes and a delicious dessert. Each of these menu selections is unique to the area in flavour and in execution. When you add these well tested recipes to your collection, you will be bringing home a slice of Tuscan culinary history! There is also an Optional Additional Market visit with the chefs at €45 per person (minimum 4 persons).

Note: Classes are held nearly daily in the high season and the kitchen is open nearly all year round!

The cost per person is 10 Euros. Please try to have the correct money. If you do decide to drive to the villa, complete directions will be provided – it is only 13 kms from the center of Florence and the drive takes about 25 minutes. Each class is uniquely designed to meet the needs of the participants and vegetarians are well catered for. Interested in a specific menu shopping excursion or private cooking tour, please do not hesitate to ask one of staff members or add your request to our reservation form and we will be happy to accommodate your needs.

DETAILS
Allow your senses to be absorbed by the lasting charm of the Tuscan towns. Here the beauty of the monuments, painting, and sculpture is connected to the way of life, which is still on a human scale, and where every stone exhibit centuries of history.
We will drive through the characteristic hilly Tuscan countryside, on our way to Siena, a splendid prehistoric city. Siena is globally recognized for its imaginative treasure and is classified by the UNESCO as a world heritage site. It is here that we will tour the popular shell-shaped, Piazza del Campo.
The Municipal Palace, established in 1298, with its stylish Mangia Bell-tower, that was constructed in 1325 and rises above the square. It is here that the renowned Palio is held every summer.
You may utilize your free time to explore the imposing Cathedral, one of the most fabulous, imaginative accomplishments of the 13th, to 15th centuries. You will appreciate the grand buildings and medieval churches along the narrow, lively alleyways.
From Siena, you will be driven through a scenic route to acknowledge the olive groves and vineyards in the heart of the Chianti region, on the way to the 13th century reinforced hamlet of Monteriggioni, a tiny jewel, fully encompassed by its authentic fortifications.
You will take a stroll within the private perimeter of the bordering walls with its 11 towers. You will discover an enchanting corner of Tuscany, that has been preserved since the Middle Ages.
A short distance away, in a welcoming country estate, encompassed by spicy plants, you will be served a typical Chianti lunch made from local products. You will also enjoy a guided wine tasting session of a selection of fine Vernaccia and Chianti wines, provided with expertise and passion by the amiable owner of the farm.
After lunch, we depart from the farm and a short distance away, we discover San Gimignano, another delightful town. This town is endorsed by UNESCO as a world heritage site. It is recognized for its ideally preserved ancient plan and alleys, as well as for its grand towers, which have resulted in the town being referred to as the Manhattan of the Middle Ages.
The town is also famous for its hills, which are covered with aromatic, white Vernaccia vineyards and saffron estates.
A walk around the town center discloses absolute treasures like; - the elegant 14th-century frescoes on the other side the double doors of the Collegiata, Piazza della Cisterna, the Palazzo del Podestà with its museum, and the Church of Sant'Agostino, with its Benozzo Gozzoli frescoes.
Finally, we will drive towards Pisa; -one of the most famous towns in the world, with its splendid Piazza dei Miracoli, another UNESCO world heritage site. Here outstanding marble jewels rise above; - the artistic green Cathedral sward, the renowned Leaning Tower, the stately Baptistery, the splendid Cathedral, and the commemorative Cemetery. There are also principal expressions of the Romanesque architecture of the 12th, and 13th centuries, that contain astonishingly beautiful works of great artistic importance.

What Makes This Tour Unique

Relish following the scent of Chianti wine, driving through the most famous wine districts: the Black Rooster Chianti, Montalcino, Brunello and Montepulciano. You will appreciate the genuine, ancient, farming tradition that produces wine, oil and typical products.

Visit a historical farmhouse, where you will be served lunch and will eat local products and be guided through a wine - tasting session of Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello and Supertuscan wines.

You will visit Greve and its historical square flanked by open galleries, Castellina an ancient village perched on a hill with its historical wine - cellars, Monteriggioni a small medieval jewel, Montalcino where you will wander along narrow streets between wineries and craftsmen’s workshops.

Penetrate the heart of the most genuine aspects of Tuscany with medieval villages of incomparable charm, an ancient farming tradition that produces wine, cheese, cold cuts and excellent meat renowned and appreciated all over the world.

The landscape is an exquisite blend of natural and man-made harmony, which has existed for centuries in matchless equilibrium. Through the hilly expanses of the old vineyards and olive groves, covering most of the splendid Chianti territory, we reach Greve where one can enjoy the charm of its historical square flanked by open galleries, wandering around the fascinating shops offering local hand-crafted items as well as typical Chianti products.

Once more, we drive on to Castellina, an ancient village, perched on a hill, where we visit a historical wine-cellar.

Just outside the village, in one of the area’s most famous wine-farms, you will be offered a wine-tasting session of different wines of the Chianti area, extra virgin olive oil on Tuscan bread, vin santo (Holy Wine) with locally produced cantuccini and lavender honey.

Proceeding along a scenic route we admire the picturesque village of Monteriggioni, a small mediaeval jewel still surrounded by its ancient walls.

Further on, the unmistakable landscape of the Crete Senesi, where impressive, dramatic, clay ravines and cavities split the hillsides.

We drive on to an area - which is a total contrast to the Crete territory – the lusciously green Val d'Orcia, another UNESCO heritage site, a harmonious succession of hills dotted with cypresses and castles, churches, ancient villages of Etruscan origin and farms strung out along the famous Via Francigena, a High Medieval Pilgrim’s Way. Here, in a historical farmhouse, you will be served lunch and will be guided through a wine-tasting session of the renowned Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello and Supertuscan wines.

You will be able to enjoy a large selection of typical products of the territory and a delicious homemade fruit pie.

All this is followed by a visit to the wine-cellars and some free time to enjoy the countryside. We then drive on to the medieval village of Montalcino, its boundary walls studded by towers, with the imposing 14th century fortress that offers one of the most beautiful views onto Val d’Orcia.

In Moltalcino, one can also wander along narrow streets with dozens of wineries and artisans’ shops selling local produce.

Finally, after a short journey along a scenic route, we reach Montepulciano, enclosed by fortified walls and perched on a hill 600 metres above sea level between Val d’Orcia and Val di Chiana.

The town is renowned for its Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, obtained from the grapes growing in the surrounding vineyards. We stop briefly in the town to take a walk through its steep streets and elegant squares and admire the splendid Renaissance buildings and churches, and visit one of the many wine-cellars of the old town to taste their delicious wine, after which we drive back to Florence.

Fabulous for families or anyone wanting to escape the heat and take a well deserved break from the city, this adventure will have you driving an iconic vintage Fiat 500 through the best scenic routes of Tuscany. We begin with an introduction to the Fiat 500 and its handling, and then head for the hills! We head into the Chianti wine district area, all around us monasteries, olive groves and grapevines, and your guide entertains you with history and local knowledge. 

During the itinerary we drive on the via Imprunetana and the via Chiantigiana, that offer breathtaking views of the two fabulous country roads Tuscan countryside. We will take two stops, one in front of a very well known terracotta factory, with an amazing view of the Chianti Classico wine district. The second stop is on the way back, along the road, at a spot where you have the chance to take pictures and bask in the beauty of the Florence panorama, the mountains around the city, the Arno river and the city center from above. After the panoramic stops we are hosted in the splendid Renaissance Villa, where a Tuscan lunch is laid with class out for us beside their private swimming pool. Your guide leads you in a professional wine tasting and olive oil savoring while you enjoy a fantastic meal of many Tuscan specialties. We have access to the swimming pool (particularly popular with kids) and towels are provided for your enjoyment.
